To stain a clothing item with nails polish or the sofa and carpet, it’s a small accident that can happen to anyone. And then, drama happens, because you might think that there is the ending of the stained object. But I will offer you some great tips to clean that nail polish mess from fabrics and other items.

Tricks to get rid of the stains on the clothes and not only

The most important thing is that you have to act quickly, right after the incident happened.
The fresher a spot is, the easier it will be to clean.

To remove the stains on clothes you need:

– a cotton pad
– acetone

Soak the cotton pad in acetone and start rubbing the stain. However, acetone is a strong substance that can disintegrate certain materials such as synthetic clothes.
Rinse then with water and wipe the affected area well. You can put the stained clothing item in the washing machine later on.

Nails polish stains on rugs and carpets

You need:
– a sharp object
– a cotton pad
– a dry cloth
– a damp cloth

Use the sharp object to remove any nail polish surplus, but be careful not to spread the stain all over the carpet. Then, pour a drop of acetone over the stains and start rubbing it with the cotton pad. Repeat this procedure until the stain disappears completely.

Afterwards, wipe well the stained area with a damp cloth, and then use a dry cloth to dry the spot.
If the stain won’t go, you can apply a drop of hydrogen peroxide on the spot and rub it with a damp sponge. Dry the spot afterwards.

Nail polish stains on the upholstery

You need:
– a sharp object
– a damp cloth
– a dry cloth

Carefully, remove the nail polish excess with using the sharp object, and then pour acetone over the stain. Use a cotton bulb to remove the stain, and then rub the area thoroughly with a damp cloth. Dry the area by rubbing it thoroughly with a dry cloth.
